ETHAN ALLEN ALL STAR
BASEBALL is a very simple game by
today's standards. Each player selects a lineup from the 40-60 star
player discs included with
the game. These discs are in essence a pie chart of each batter's
performance during a season. The
discs are stacked according to the batting order and placed under the
spinner. You then work your way through the batting order, spinning
for each player as he comes up and reading the result of the at-bat
from
the pie chart. You can also chose from a few basic strategic moves
(Bunt, Hit and Run etc). The glaring flaw in this system is that there
is absolutely no consideration of the skills of the opposing pitcher.
But all the same it is a very fun game to play. There were numerous
cosmetic changes to the box art and game parts of CADACO ALL STAR
BASEBALL over the years but the basic game play remained the same
throughout it's 60+ year production run.
