1970'S COLECO
PLASTIC TABLE HOCKEY TEAMS

In the early 1970's Coleco ceased production of the traditional tin table hockey teams. They switched to a solid white plastic figure base to which the purchaser would apply decals depicting players wearing team uniforms. After a brief experiment in which the plastic players were fitted into brackets attached to the ends of the rods, the company settled on a design that was very similar to the old tin players.
