1980'S COLECO
PLASTIC TABLE HOCKEY TEAMS

During the 1980's Coleco continued with the same basic player design as was used in the 1970's. At some point they switched to black plastic bases. Unlike the earlier white bases, which were no solid, the black bases were hollowed out in places. I can only think this was done to save money. Another change was that the players were now wearing helmets (the 70's players didn't have helmets). Coleco continued with this format until the ceased manufacture.
