Dizzy Dean Batter-Rou Baseball Game
Endorsed by Hall of Fame
player / broadcaster Dizzy
Dean this is an unusal game that generates play results through the use
of 2 roulette wheels. It is very difficult to find with all the pieces.
The game parts are in EXCELLENT condition.
Everything has been accounted for and it's all in wonderful condition.
Shows virtually no use. I'm not sure if the balls are original to the
set but they seem to be the perfect size. Overall I would grade the
game parts 8 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).
The game box is in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. It has
some problems including 4 split corners (as well as one side being
about 1/2 detached), a small tear in the cover art just above Dean's
head and a piece of tape on each of the long sides. This was used to
hold the box shut and has now torn the artwork where it was partially
removed. One of the corner splits looks like it was taped and then
ripped apart resulting in the loss of the litho at that corner. That
said it is still very attractive with no fading, no staining or writing
and very bright colors. Box bottom is in similar condition with some
light staining. I would grade the box a 4 on a 10 scale (see condition
(10): I will only give this grade
to brand new, unused items. NEAR MINT (9):
Shows virtually no use. Seldom if ever played.
Perhaps some very light handling creases to the
or other minor flaws with the game parts. Boxes will have
the slightest hint of shelf wear. EXCELLENT (7-8):
The game has seen some use but it was obviously well taken care of.
some light handling creases or other signs of
careful use. Board might have just a hint of color loss or
corners. Boxes will have light rubbing to the artwork or
some minor dishing or a very light stain. VERY GOOD (5-6):
The game was not especially well cared for but it still has
faired pretty well. Game
parts will show obvious use but nothing will be torn, badly
stained or have any serious damage. Box may have
rubbing, light staining, dishing, 1 or 2 neatly split corners,
minor writing and/or a few pieces of tape. No major
damage and artwork will still be generally attractive. GOOD (3-4):
Obviously no care was taken with the game but it is still playable as
is. Game parts show
considerable use but the game is complete with all parts in
condition. Box may have staining, writing, split
dishing and/or other structural damage but it will be intact and still
Only suitable to fill a space in your collection.
Game will be missing
parts (these will be noted). Box will have serious damage and
be missing aprons or badly torn.
