Munro/Sears Table Hockey Team
used with 1970's tables
These are for use with most
of the Munro and Sears
tables from the 1970's. At this point the company moved away from the
traditional tin teams andvswitched to a solid white plastic figure base
to which the purchaser would apply decals depicting players wearing
team uniforms. These plastic players were fitted into brackets attached
to the ends of the rods, so the player's themselves are perfectly flat.
This particular set is in NEAR MINT condition. They
look pretty much unused. Just a few minor rub marks and perhaps a
slight yellowing to the white backgrounds. I would grade it a 9 on a 10
scale (see condition guide below).
I will only give this grade
to brand new, unused items. NEAR MINT (9):
Shows virtually no use. Seldom if ever played.
Perhaps just the slightest bit of scuffing to the
body or a tiny bit of paint loss in the post mount. No rust,
no bending. EXCELLENT (7-8):
These were played with but very lightly. Some minor
paint scuffs probably a little heavier in the post mounts.
Maybe a tiny bit of rust starting in the mounts.
Perhaps a couple may have minor bending but they will lie
basically flat. VERY GOOD (5-6):
The players were not especially well cared for but are not
worn. There will be some scuffing from normal use as well as
normal wear to the post mounts. There may be some small rust
spots but nothing that will detract from the general attractiveness of
the players. Some players may have bends. GOOD (3-4):
Obviously no care was taken with the players but they are still
is. There will be noticeable rust, paint wear
and bending. POOR
Only suitable to fill a space in your collection.
Heavy wear. May be incomplete set.
