Baseball / Hockey Combination Table Game
Pressman is well-known for
it's ACTION BASEBALL
Tabletop Games of the 1950's and 1960's. There were a number of
different editions but they were all essentially the same game except
for the player endorsements. Pressman also produced a tabletop game in
the 70's which was a combination Baseball / Hockey game. The hockey
game is a basic knock hockey game that is played inside a wooden tray.
The baseball game is very similar to the older games. It fits into the
tray right on top of the hockey game. It's a pretty clever design.
The game board is in
EXCELLENT - NEAR MINT condition. It looks like it was barely played
with. Unfortunately it is missing the accessories. There is a metal
ball-bearing included with the game but I don't think that is original
to the game as it seems slightly too large. I'm sure you can find an
appropriately-sized "ball" somewhere. You would also need some sticks
and a puck to play the hockey game. I tested the pitching and batting
mechanisms for the baseball game and both work as they should. Overall
I would grade the game 8-9 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below)
for wear but as I said it is missing the parts.
The game box is in VERY
Just some general shelf wear. No stains or tears. I would grade it a 7
on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).
(10): I will only give this grade
to brand new, unused items. NEAR MINT (9):
Shows virtually no use. Seldom if ever played.
Perhaps some very light handling creases to the
or other minor flaws with the game parts. Boxes will have
the slightest hint of shelf wear. EXCELLENT (7-8):
The game has seen some use but it was obviously well taken care of.
some light handling creases or other signs of
careful use. Board might have just a hint of color loss or
corners. Boxes will have light rubbing to the artwork or
some minor dishing or a very light stain. VERY GOOD (5-6):
The game was not especially well cared for but it still has
faired pretty well. Game
parts will show obvious use but nothing will be torn, badly
stained or have any serious damage. Box may have
rubbing, light staining, dishing, 1 or 2 neatly split corners,
minor writing and/or a few pieces of tape. No major
damage and artwork will still be generally attractive. GOOD (3-4):
Obviously no care was taken with the game but it is still playable as
is. Game parts show
considerable use but the game is complete with all parts in
condition. Box may have staining, writing, split
dishing and/or other structural damage but it will be intact and still
Only suitable to fill a space in your collection.
Game will be missing
parts (these will be noted). Box will have serious damage and
be missing aprons or badly torn.
