NFL NFC MODEL 650 (1972)
Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams

This particular game is the 650 edition. It originally came out in 1972 and it was the first to include the TTC bases. Other than the fact that it includes these improved bases and some slight differences in the box art the game is identical to the previous big board 620/610 editions. It came with 2 Hong Kong Chicken Leg teams and these teams varied depending on point of sale.

The field is in EXCELLENT condition. On the whole it's in very nice shape. The field has 2 relatively small dents on the rims but these will not affect game play. As for the playing surface there is only one very shallow dent near the middle of the 45 yard line (about the widtch of a ball point pen tip) and a few hairline scratches here and there. No rust. The plastic feet are intact and free of breaks. The motor has been tested and it works well. The same is true of the on/off switch. Includes all 4 scoreboard clips. The scoreboard has a few creases but is intact and free of stains or writing. The same is true of the standings board. Includes 24 of the 26 team name cards (missing Rams and Cardinals), all the dials and all the knobs. Overall I would grade the field 7-8 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).

The game parts are in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition. It's very difficult to get one of these with all the original pieces. This one is nearly complete. The only thing missing is the playbook. The playbook is really not needed to play the game though as there are plenty of sources for plays available online. Everything else has been accounted for right down to the end zone flags. Even includes the original plastic tree that all the parts were attached to. The decals for the 10 yard marker have peeled off and the game only has 2 of the original 6 felt footballs. Nothing is broken, cracked or chipped. The game was not stored particularly carefully so the goal posts and some of the other plastic parts have bent a bit but these can be straightened out. Overall I would grade the game parts 6-7 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).

The teams are in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition. They are both the original issue Hong Kong Chicken Leg teams that came with this edition of the game. Both teams are 100% complete. None of the players are broken or mended and none are leaning. One of the Cowboys guards has what looks like a bite mark in his leg and some paint loss to his foot. One of the Rams guards has heavy paint wear to one leg. Otherwise just some light paint wear to a few players. Many of the uniform numbers have peeled off.

All the bases have their clips and brushes intact and all of them have the red TTC brushes intact. Some of these brushes are bent but they can be "tweaked" to get them back into shape. Also includes the red tool used to attach and adjust the TTC peg. This has what looks like a few bite marks on it. Overall I would grade the teams 6-7 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).

The box is in VERY GOOD condition. It has a few tears and creases but no significant stains and no writing. The flap that was opened to remove the game is badly torn. Overall I would grade the box 5-6 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).

CONDITION GUIDE: 

MINT (10):  I will only give this grade to brand new, unused items. NEAR MINT (9):  Shows virtually no use.  Seldom if ever played.   Perhaps some very light handling creases to the instructions or other minor flaws with the game parts.  Boxes will have only the slightest hint of shelf wear.   EXCELLENT (7-8): The game has seen some use but it was obviously well taken care of.  Game parts might have some light handling creases or other signs of careful use.  Board might have just a hint of color loss or dented corners.  Boxes will have light rubbing to the artwork or perhaps some minor dishing or a very light stain.   VERY GOOD (5-6):  The game was not especially well cared for but it still has faired pretty well.  Game parts will show obvious use but nothing will be torn, badly stained or have any serious damage.  Box may have some rubbing, light staining, dishing, 1 or 2 neatly split corners, minor writing and/or a few pieces of tape.  No major structural damage and artwork will still be generally attractive.  GOOD (3-4): Obviously no care was taken with the game but it is still playable as is.  Game parts show considerable use but the game is complete with all parts in usable condition.  Box may have staining, writing, split corners, dishing and/or other structural damage but it will be intact and still usable.   POOR (1-2):  Only suitable to fill a space in your collection.  Game will be missing parts (these will be noted).  Box will have serious damage and may be missing aprons or badly torn.
