Ed-u-card was a prolific
children's card game manufacturer during the 1950's and 1960's. The
company issued numerous sports themed games including a series of
baseball games with actual team logos.
There were actually 2
different versions of the Major League Baseball team endorsed games
issued by the company. The 1st version from 1961 featured a
"magic-erase" scoreboard, a paper playing field with the instructions
printed alongside, and 2 decks of cards (1 with the logo of the
endorsing team and 1 pack of generic cards to represent the opposing
team). The 2nd version removed the 2nd deck of cards and the
scoreboard.
